Our producers

Ca'Viola (Piemonte)

Beppe Caviola in Piemonte is the oenologist behind the 'Barolo Boys' and has been voted Italy's best oenologist for the 3rd year in a row. He only produces 50,000 bottles a year, but we market all of his top wines.

His story begins in Montelupo Albese, where Beppe Caviola rented the vineyard of his dreams, called Barturot, and thanks to the skills he learned while studying at the Alba School of Enology, he began making wine in the garage of his parents’ house. Driven by curiosity and intuition Beppe Caviola is convinced that innovation should always be in the service of tradition. A significant step for a dreamer who grew up in the Langhe of the time: hills that were not yet famous, on which a new wind was beginning to blow, and where owning a tractor to work a vineyard could make all the difference.

Adami (Veneto)

We are a family with deep roots in our local area, who have for generations now produced wine from our own vineyards and those of long-trusted growers. We who work hand-in-hand with nature every day and strive to offer quality of life prospectives to future generations as well. That same responsibility means a reduction of our carbon footprint in as many areas as possible.

Negro Guiseppe (Piemonte)

Cantina Negro Guiseppe is located in the municipal district of Neive – one of the most renowned areas for the production of the typical local wines ‘Vini Albesi’. The firm is managed by the owner, oenologist Giorgio Negro – son of Guiseppe who ran the winery since the early 1950’s until Giorgio took over. And today 3rd generation is also involved in the production of small quantities of excellent quality wines destined to the best restaurants in Italy and abroad.

Petrussa (Friuli)

In 1986 two brothers in Colli Orientali up north near Slovenia decided to devote their lives to a family winey founded by their grandfarther Giuseppe Petrussa. Even though conditions at that time was pretty hard they managed to follow up on the great work and commitment done during the previous two generations, and today they produce some of  the most clear and pure wines from Friuli.

Parroco di Neive (Piemonte)

Azienda San Michele was founded in 1973 in Neive, the heart of the Barbaresco production area, from an idea of the archpriest Don Giuseppe Cogno – the priest of the town – and three local winemakers. Today the management of the winery is in the hands of Cogno Achille, brother of the archpriest, and the three sons of the founders: Lessio Renato, Nebiolo Alessandro and Cavallo Claudio.

Azienda San Michele has equipped itself with a new winery, also in the Neive area, while maintaining the old address near the historic center and turning it into a wineshop.

Cordero San Giogio (Oltrepò Pavese)

Three siblings, Francesco, Lorenzo, and Caterina. A family with its roots in the Langhe wineyards, in Castiglione Falletto. The bond with wine is visceral, a special relationship that speaks of family and traditions, but also and especially of research, discovery, and curiosity.

The winery San Giorgio is located in Santa Giuletta, among the rolling hills of the Oltrepò Pavese, from where you can admire a panorama stretching from the Alps to the Apennines. Dating back to the Marquis Sauli of Genoa family, it houses a 16th-century crenelated tower that has resisted the passage of time almost intact, just like the perfectly preserved underground cellar. Remnant of a distant past whose beauty still persists today.

Podere Prospero (Bolgheri)

In 2000, Carla Prospero travelled with her late husband, Sergio Zenato, to Bolgheri - the land of the new Tuscan red wines like Sassaia. Until then, the couple had been producing excellent Amarone and Lugana wines in the heart of 'Valpolicella country'. But in 2003 the excursion to Bolgheri led to the purchase of a small 4 ha vineyard and olive grove located along the Via Bolgherese (the heart of the designated geographical area of origin), and in 2013 Carla launched the first Prospero Bolgheri Rosso.
Today, Carla's daughter Nadia Zenato and her brother, Alberto, run the wineries in both Valpolicella and Bolgheri, but Carla remains heavily involved in the operations.

Tenute Bosco (Etna)

Tenute Bosco ia a young and ambitious Sicilian winery, located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna.  Tenute Boscon was born from Sofia Ponzini’s passion for her land with the goal of creating high quality wines inspired by the Etna tradition. Here the famous Etna DOC wines are produced, true icons of Italian enology, which over the years have enjoyed growing success becoming one of the most appreciated denominations internationally. Tenute Bosco is recognized as one of the most representative wineries and award-winning from Etna and has an artisan production of about 45,000 bottles per year.

Palmento Costanzo (Etna)

Palmento Costanzo was founded in 2010 by the Costanzo family, who wanted to get closer to the land that witnessed their growth: the slopes of Mt. Etna. The family restored an artisanal way of working and a direct understanding of nature, which are embodied by elegant and expressive wines that are authentically born from the «Muntagna», as the Etna is fondly called by its inhabitants.

The adventure began following the purchase of a handful of hectares in Contrada Santo Spirito, located in Passopisciaro, in the province of Catania, on the northern region of the Etna. Acenturies-old, ungrafted vineyard, one of the few that survived the phylloxera epidemic at the beginning of the '900 which destroyed most of the vineyards in Europe. And the restoration of the ancient Palmento made from lava stone: a remarkable proof of the key role played by viticulture within Etna production.

Birrificio MESSINA (Sicily)

The story of Birra dello Stretto and its master brewers of Birrificio Messina speaks of resiliance, courage and talent. It all started in 1923 when Birra Messina (not to be confused with the newest Birrificio Messina) was founded by a family of local entrepreneurs who went on to became one of the most popular beers in Italy.

In 1988 the Birra Messina brewery was taken over by Heineken who invested in the brand. In 2007 the Birra Messina factory returned to its original owners, but after a long period of uncertainty the brewery closed in 2011 and all the workers were made redundant.

Mimmo Sorrenti, Birra Messina former master brewer and now the president of Birrificio Messina explains: “My grandfather made beer, my father made beer and I wanted to continue the tradition”. Mimmo, together with 14 other former expert brewers, got together and in April 2013, using their severance pay, the 15 founded a cooperative, starting the production of local quality craft beers under the name of "Birra dello Stretto”.
